I currently live in Burlington, VT, where I work as a freelance photographer. I create images that tease the boundaries of reality. It is in doing this that I hope to inspire creative thought in the viewer. Positive energy is infectious. We live in a society that tends to focus on the negative. I believe that thought provoking art with a positive message can change the world. My recent series of images titled “The Mundane” borrows the high-gloss aesthetics of a Hollywood movie poster to depict acts of everyday life. This work argues that every little act is meaningful. We are all significant.

An over-active imagination and a ceaseless itch to create are to blame for my current style of photography. I like to think of the creation of an image as a building process. Shooting digitally, I start with a simple idea and “build,” photographing each step along the way until I have reached my final mark.

I’m stoked to be a Topo Ranch Pioneer. Plain and simple, these guys make a damn fine tee shirt. I’m wearing one as I type this. More importantly, Topo Ranch is a company that I can get behind and support. The values of Topo Ranch show through in the excellent product they produce.
